Capt. Roger Gendron: Captain Roger Gendron has been actively guiding the waters of Western Long Island Sound since 1989.  A local who has spent his entire life in this area, he started fly fishing the coast of Fairfield County Connecticut over 30 years ago, and was one of the first guides in the area to specialize in fly fishing and light tackle fishing in shallow salt water for Striped Bass and Bluefish.
 
 
Jim Orefice: Having fished LI Sound and the Rhode Island Coast all his life, Jimmy has become a successful saltwater angler and tackle shop owner through the professional level mentors he’s had over the years. By working with professional anglers and tackle manufacturers and his background as a teacher, combined with countless hours on the water and in his tackle shop, Jimmy is looking forward to sharing his experience and knowledge with visitors at the Norwalk Boat Show.
 

John Glynn: Has been involved in the BVI for over 25 years, most of them as VP of Sales for the Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda. He has cruised and chartered the BVI countless times, and has participated in no fewer than 15 BVI Spring Regattas. He knows all the popular stomping grounds one might visit on a BVI charter, as well as many of the “off the beaten path” destinations.
 
Bob Bitchin: Adventure has been a way of life for Bob Bitchin since the early sixties, when his name was coined by the comedy team of Cheech and Chong. He worked as a traveling companion and bodyguard for famous motorcycle daredevil Evil Knievel, promoted motorcycle shows, and created Biker Magazine and Tattoo Magazine in the 70's and early 80's.  He also worked as editor of many of the motorcycle magazines of that era, and wrote for other publications as diverse as Forbes, Penthouse and New Look.  During that time he rode his motorcycles across the country over 30 times, and around Europe as well.  He was the founding president of the Motorcycle Press Association in 1978.
 
For almost thirty years he lived aboard sailboats and cruised most of the Pacific and Central America since the early seventies
 
In 1988 he sold his magazines and started sailing full time.  He bought the staysail ketch Lost Soul in 1990, and he and his wife Jody have been sailing the world ever since.  He has three children and 6 grand-children.
 
In 1996 he created Latitudes & Attitudes Magazine.  In the 13 years since it’s inception it has become one of the largest and most authoritative publications on sailing and world cruising.  
               
Bob now divides his time between Publishing his magazine, world cruising, doing seminars on sailing and writing novels.  He has written six books. Letters From The Lost Soul, The Sailing Life, Brotherhood of Outlaws, Emerald Bay and King Harbor, the latest of which was released in June of 2007.
 
John Laurence Busch:  Is an independent historian who has scoured archives and libraries from the East Coast of the United States to the far reaches of Europe, uncovering a wealth of never-before-published material on Captain Moses Rogers and the Steamship Savannah.  
 
Capt. Bill Pinkney:  An extremely accomplished seaman and U.S. Merchant Marine officer, the captain has sailed to South Africa, Tasmania, Brazil, Senegal, Ghana, Uruguay, Bermuda, Barbados, Portugal, Cuba and Puerto Rico.  Drawing on experiences of his exciting solo sail around the world and life as master of Amistad the reproduction schooner of the 1839 incident.  Pinkney weaves stories of high adventure and hard-learned inspirational' truths into a sometime humorous and always enjoyable session that will enlighten, inspire and entertain audiences of all ages. He is Former corporate executive and a Justice of the Peace.
